KBShimmer - Peak My Interest

Hey all,
When I was younger I read a lot of ghost stories and horror novels.
Anyone remember Goosebumps? :) They were so much fun.
After I grew out of those I graduated to Stephen King novels. The master!
Stephen King has a special place in my heart because they filmed the movie It right outside my house!
The scene with the balloon bouncing down the street? That was my street!
I was 4 years old but I clearly remember sneaking looks out the window to watch them film.
So creepy! And to this day it's the only movie that really scares me.
(except the ending where Pennywise the clown turns into a giant spider - lame!)
Anyway, where is this going you ask?
Well, this summer I decided to go back to my roots with a scary summer read.
The Tommyknockers. More science fiction than horror.
It's about a small town that falls under the influence of an alien object buried in the woods.
**oh ahh mysterious O.O **
This manicure (or accent nail I should say) is a nod to that book.
Featuring KBShimmer - Peak My Interest

Peak My Interest is a watermelon pink crelly full of hex and triangle glitter.
White, pink, periwinkle & dark aqua, the glitter combo is fantastic! A little offbeat and very cute.
Watermelon really is the most apt description for this shade.
Super bright without being neon with just a hint of coral. Totally delish!

photo taken during sunset
I stamped with Konad - Black using Messy Mansion Plate MM33.
The alien hand inside the human hand is so perfect for this book!!!
But I don't want to give anything away. So I'll just leave it at that. :| Lips are sealed.

Just look at those glitters frozen inside their jello tomb. So fricken awesome.
This is two generous coats. And like with all KB's, flawless formula.
What can I say? I'm in love again. And I'm really hoping triangles become the latest trend.

And I'm so close to finishing Tommyknockers I can almost taste it.
My Dad was making fun of me the other day for how long it's taking me.
Like, what?! I started seven weeks ago and it's 750 pages. Get off my back!!
So I think I know what I'll be up to tonight. :)
Have a good one!

creepy and sullen and running out of room

It's not even winter yet and mother nature has said "It's on!"
Time to stay in, crank the heat, and drink a bunch of warm beverages.

Models Own - Apple Pie
(a bluer leaning cousin to Zoya - Neely)
stamped using A-England - Tristam & MoYou Suki 06
It's a scented polish, unfortunately two coats of Seche obliterated any of that.
But who cares, that colour is just darling.

Smitten Polish - Cocoa and Cardis accented with Sally Hansen - Soy Latte & triangle studs
I obviously had beverages on the brain.
I did this one quite awhile ago. Lost 3 studs in the first 24 hours.  (._.)

Wing Dust - Grey Sky Morning
I put this on the morning after my birthday party. It was exactly what I was feeling that day.
Both this polish and Apple Pie were some of my birthday gifts from Dagadelic (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
She always picks an amazing assortment. Thanks girlfriend!
I left this polish on for longer than usual. It was so twinkly and mellow.

Smitten Polish - Robin's Egg

Hey all,
How are you doing?
Tonight I'm having a yummy dinner party to celebrate the first hockey game of the season!
Meat pie, mashed potatoes and men on ice.
A perfect Canadian autumn evening.
Any of you hockey fans?
My Dad got me into it, of course. I became obsessed at 14, then my love petered out.
It's only in the last few years that I've got back into it again.
And I'm glad I did. I love it. It's like a manly, hyper physical soap opera.
So next post I'll show you my Vancouver Canucks inspired mani.
But until then I've got...

Smitten Polish - Robin's Egg

As the name suggests, the base is a perfect robin's egg blue crelly, full of copper hexes.
This polish is PERFECT! I cannot describe how much I love it.
It is sweetness and magic rolled into one. It's just so Robin's Egg!
Perfectly perfect in every way. :)

It harsh makes me crave Robin's Egg candies.
It really does look like them! And man, I love those treats.
(Is this my new thing? I only wear polish that reminds me of edibles?)

Like every Smitten I've tried, the formula was superb, only needing two coats.
And the glitter was plentiful, spreading nicely.
Smitten did a great job with this one. Simple yet beyond stunning. 5 stars!

All I can really say about this dreamy polish is...
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

Have a great night and an awesome manicure!
