Smitten Polish - Klaatu Barada Nikto

Hey all,

I have a late night lazy manicure for you.

Featuring

Smitten Polish - Klaatu Barada Nikto

 

 

KBN is a cobalt base full of tiny holographic glitters of multiple colours.

Despite the rich darkness of the base, the glitters shine brightly.

Red, blue, green, pink, gold. A disco laser show.
I couldn't bare to do any art over top.



I wish my pictures could capture how stunning this is in real life.
It's so loaded with glitter that one coat of Seche Vite dried a bit bumpy.
I didn't mind at all, but would recommend two coats of topcoat for a super glassy smooth finish.

I really love this polish.
I don't have anything else quite like it.
Oh! And I must mention, the name, Klaatu Barara Nikto,
comes from the movie Army of Darkness, of which I'm a HUGE fan.

T.N.T. I'm Dynamite

Hey all,

Hope you had an awesome Christmas.

Mine has been both delicious and exhausting. 

I feel like I haven't stopped moving for two weeks.

At least I have managed to be minimally creative. 

I'm working on a little something-something you'll find out all about in January. 

So get excited.

Until then,  Here's my Christmas Day Manicure.

A Simply Smitten Splatter

For months I knew I had to use Smitten Polish - Enchanted Forest & Zelda's Fall-y 

Holographic holiday perfection, like tinsel and ornaments twinkling by the fire.

I hadn't settled on the splatter until the night I painted. 

My heart said I had to, especially since I've never used this technique with holos before.

Zoya - Jacqueline made the perfect eggnog background.

In fact this polish is the perfect background for anything, I love it so!

I Love Nail Polish Gradient

Absolute Zero (deep indigo) & Pt78 (silver)

Looks much more subtle in the photos. Beautiful polishes and so amazing to work with.

Darling Diva - T.N.T.

I was unable to properly capture this one :(  

Deep brown jelly with gold/green/orange shifting shimmer. 

Kind of meh in the bottle, but a whole other story on the nail!（＾ｖ＾）

And how could you not love a polish inspired by AC/DC?

A-England, A-mazing

Hey all,
Happy Saturday!
It's shaping up to be a pleasant afternoon here on the west coast. I'm going to spend it hermitting :)  But I will get out of the house for dinner and enjoy the evening sun with some of my favorite people. Do you have any plans for today?
This week I received my order of A-England nail polishes! I've heard so many good things and have wanted to try them out for quite a while. Believe everything you read, A-England polishes really are amazing!

The base colour is Tristam.
Holographic particles shimmer in the deep indigo base.
It's mysterious and luxurious.
The formula is incredibly dense and just a dream to apply.
Had I been more careful it would definitely be a one coat polish.

Stamping with A-England is just WOW! It leaves me breathless.

I used Excalibur, a beautiful silver platinum.

 It was probably the best polished I've ever used for stamping.

So pigmented, crisp and easy.

The wear on this polish is fantastic. The above shot was taken after two full workdays.

I was due to paint my nails today, but I can't. I think this manicure is just too fabulous. I need one more day!

You will not be disappointed.
