I've got some catching up to do.

New format. New something.

Something's got to change.

But the awesomeness of my manis have not.

So here's a few, while I try to figure out what to do.

Enchanted Polish - Mean Mr. Mustard with Orly - Space Cadet accent

I was going for art deco opulence. Drool.

And that Mr.Mustard, I tell you. It gets more enchanting each time I wear it.

Cult Nails - Midnight Mist 

My camera couldn't capture it quite right. ಠ_ಠ

But my phone is much truer to the colour and crazy shimmer.

I'm really digging both neutrals and shimmers like never before.

It was recently my birthday so I decided to do something out of this world.

When the Sea meets the Rocks

Hey all,

I hope you're having a good week.

I had a great day yesterday. Fun in the sun with family and food.

Lucas and I hosted an awesome birthday for Dagadelic.

But I'll let her tell you about it.

Here's a little something I wore earlier in the week.

I was dying to try out Pretty & Polished - Sea Spray

Such a gorgeously deep and sparkling blue <3

But I was also going to a rock show, so I had to pair it with Orly - Rock Solid

Such fantastic glistening joy! All I can do is drool. 

Sad to hear Sea Spray is discontinued. I'm glad I was able to snag it.

I just love that depth! And the formula was fantastic.

Rock Solid really helped bling out my mani. I love the holographic particles.

A bit of a pain to remove, but nothing too terrible.

Well that's all for now. I need to nurse my sun burn :P

Rock Solid Splatter

Hey all,

I would like to start this post off by saying, this is the first manicure I've done while hungover. Not just hungover, but completely destroyed. And not just because of alcohol. I destroyed myself by headbanging. Yes, headbanging. If you don't know what I'm talking about, goggle it. I went out Saturday night and saw Electric Six for the 3rd time. I enjoyed it immensely...maybe too immensely. I really rocked it. As a result my neck and shoulders have been so stiff and sore, you would think I'd been in an accident. I feel like Joan Cusack in Sixteen Candles.

And I did it all to myself and enjoyed every minute of it. My god I'm bizarre.

My manicure is a reflection of how I feel inside. A bloody mess. 

But man did it turn out nice. I love splatter. Simple yet effective.

I really like the colour combo, for some reason it reminds me of Cookie Monster 

Does that make any sense? :S

I used Sally Hansen - Brisk Blue, Orly - Rock Solid & Zoya - Dove

Rock Solid is so awesome. You can't tell from my nails,

 but it has amazing holographic particles. Just look at that bottle shot! Drooling.

What do you think? Hot mess or just a mess?

I think it's only right that I share the song that did me in. It was damn Dance Commander. I'm pretty sure it was the last song, my final hurrah. And like the song says, you must obey the dance commander. And so I did. :) I tried to find a live version but they were all over 6 minutes, even I couldn't finish them. So this time you get a music video. Enjoy!

I'm going to take it easy and hopefully in a few days I'll be back to normal. I regret nothing :)

Space Cadet Spotted

 Hey all!

Today I have another technique I've never tried before! 

Dagadelic is such a sweety. She got me a set of dotting tools! <3

So of course as soon as I got them I had to use them. 

This is my Space Cadet Spotted  Manicure.

The dotters were awesome to use. So easy, though I do need a bit of practice (couple of drag lines).

I'm incredibly pleased with the result. What do you think?

My brain is teeming with ways to use the dotters. 

I think we're going to have a beautiful relationship.

I used Zoya - Raven and Orly - Space Cadet 

Space Cadet is the first douchrome I ever bought! It's so cool. Flashing from pink to copper with a green undertone. It is so mysterious and intriguing.  

The last time I wore Space Cadet was to the Fiona Apple concert in the summer. My manicure was cool, but Fiona was incredible. My friend Shade & I have been fans since we were 16. Finally being able to see her was like going to Mecca or the Vatican. Like a Buddhist seeing the Dalai Lama. A life defining moment. I'm glad Space Cadet could share that with me. So I'll share it with you too!

Here's a video of Fiona live in 2012 performing Not About Love. She knocked me out. So much passion and energy. Every muscle tensed with purpose. This is also pretty much exactly the view I had so you can see her playing the piano, which is a treat.

Let's Spin a Yarn

The shawl I'm working on is coming along. I should be working on the shirt I made too small. But this yarn is so soft and colourful. I can't help myself.

Trust me, you wouldn't want to put it down either.

Is anyone working on any art projects? Winter is a great time for art.

This time next week I have a photo project set up! So excited. I'll be doing portraits. Somewhat professional portraits (my first time) But of course there must be a ton of goofy to balance it out. We'll have a couple drinks, get the self consciousness out and go for  it! I can't wait and I'm frightened all at the same time. <3
